Finding additional ways that proteins rotate

Materials scientists, including Research Assistant Professor Shuai Zhang, are taking inspiration from biological materials like bones, teeth and seashells to create a new generation of advanced materials made from proteins and minerals. This research was highlighted in the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science's CommUnique newsletter.
